Advice for Teo

Dear teo
I’m sorry you have a problem with your parents about the school which you have to choose. I can understand hoe you feel, what your parents doing must be very dissapointing you. Why don’t you talk to your parents if you don’t like to school on public school because of the subjects are to many and you may show how serious you want to have home schooling. I am sure you can do it because you are a smart and nice boy aren’t you ? you cannot give up so easily to persuade your parents. Good Luck !

If there’s will, there’s a way

At school Afta sees an announcement on wall magazine. The school band which has won several music contest now need a vocalist and guitarist and the audition is hold this night. After he backs home he tells to his parents about that but his parents don’t allow him to join that. And then at night when Afta’s parents are sleep he goes to school to join the audition he sings and plays guitar, the band boys who are the judges are amazed by him. And he accept at the band although his parents don’t allow him. Next day , before school,  he tells to his parents that he joins the audition and accept at the band. His parents very angry and will moves him to another school. But Afta still persuade his parents to allow him join the band he promise band never disturb his school and score he promise if he get bad score he will moves to other school. And his parents believe him and keep his peomise.

TORAJA PEOPLE

TORAJA

It is about Toraja, an ethnic living in South Sulawesi. Local people believe that their ancestors come from heaven, but scientific evidences show that most likely ancient Toraja were originated by mixing of native tribe in that area with migrants from Indo-China. The mixing was estimated occurring between 3000 BC to 500 BC. Literally, Toraja means high people as Toraja live in a mountain area called Tana Toraja.

In old days, Toraja people were mostly animism, with a lot of ceremonies conducted to worship the power of nature. Even nowadays, where most people have been converted to Christian or even a few to Islam, the old traditions are still well maintained. The most famous tradition is funeral ceremony. The ceremony is thought as the most critical stage of the journey of death people spirit to reach heaven. The festivals consist of bull fighting, variety of dancing and killing buffalo with a single cut on the throat. Plenty of buffalo and pig are sacrificed in the festival before the death body is then put in caves in high cliff. This sequence of ceremony attracts tourists to visit Tana Toraja. It has become a source of income of Toraja people. With the increase of visitors from time to time, handicraft industries grow fast.

Beside tourism, farming is another field done by the Toraja people to support their lives. As a mountain area, limited area where can be farmed is not enough to support the growing of population. For this reason, plenty of Torajan leave their land and move to other part on this country. Present times, Torajan can be found in every place in this country.

Chucki People

Chukchi People

The majority of Chukchi reside within Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, but some also reside in the neighboring Sakha Republic to the west, Magadan Oblast to the southwest, and Koryak Autonomous Okrug to the south. Some Chukchi also reside in other parts of Russia, as well as in Europe and North America. The total number of Chukchi in the world slightly exceeds 15,000.

The Chukchi are traditionally divided into the Maritime Chukchi, who had settled homes on the coast and lived primarily from sea mammal hunting, and the Reindeer Chukchi, who nomadised in the inland tundra region with their herds of reindeer. The Russian name “Chukchi” is derived from the Chukchi word Chauchu (“rich in reindeer”), which was used by the ‘Reindeer Chukchi’ to distinguish themselves from the ‘Maritime Chukchi,’ called Anqallyt (“the sea people”). The indigenous name for a member of the Chukchi ethnic group as a whole is Luoravetlan (literally ‘true person’).

In Chukchi religion, every object, whether animate or inanimate, is assigned a spirit. This spirit can be either harmful or beneficial. Some of Chukchi myths reveal a dualistic cosmology.[1][2] Chukchi religious practices were prohibited by the Soviet Union in the 1920s.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the state-run farms were reorganized and nominally privatized. This process was ultimately destructive to the village-based economy in Chukotka, and the region has still not fully recovered. Many rural Chukchi, as well as Russians in Chukotka’s villages, have survived in recent years only with the help of direct humanitarian aid. Some Chukchi have attained university degrees, becoming poets, writers, politicians, teachers, and doctors.350px-Choris,_Tschuktschenby Adisty Utami
